We all have calendars that we turn the pages as each month goes by. But what about a 3D calendar that can be rotated in your hands for an entirely different and playful experience?  This clever calendar can be made from just two pieces of – preferably recycled – paper. Print and cut out the template, score along the geometric designs, glue along the tabs, and you have a one-of-a-kind 2016 calendar. The design is inspired by the mathematical beauty of the dodecahedron: the only Platonic solids that has 12 faces. It works perfectly as a calendar as we all know each year has 12 months.  Download the free template at A Piece of Rainbow and make this 3D 2016 calendar.
