E-waste is one of the fastest growing waste sources in the world, and on average only 25% of household electronics are actually collected and recycled. That’s a staggering statistic – especially when you consider that for every 1 million phones that are recycled, 35,274 pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold, and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered. This new infographic from Vangel Shredding and Recycling looks at the state of used electronics and offers some solutions to tackle the world’s e-waste problem – check out the full infographic after the break!
