Design lovers are sure to be familiar with Emeco‘s 1006 Navy Chair – a classic seat that was originally designed for the US Navy but found popular appeal due to its simplicity, durability, and light weight. Emeco recently called upon Nendo to design Su – a new stool that embodies the spirit of the classic Navy Chair. The stool has the familiar curves and indentations of its predecessor, and it’s available in recycled PET resin, recycled aluminum, cement and reclaimed oak. According to Nendo, the name “refers to the Japanese word su, which means basic, simple and pure.”
