When we think about the evolution of mass media, it usually goes something like this: First came newspapers, then radio, then TV, then the web. Right? But there are dozens of failed media experiments that we forget about today. Experiments like the radio faxpaper — an attempt in the 1930s and 40s to instantly deliver newspapers via radiowaves, and printed right in your home.
