These striking Flexófono lamps designed by Dos de Tres, are made from upcycled Portugese telephones dating as far back as the 1960s. Matias Blanco-Cobaleda and Diego Fontecha- the designers behind the project- transform telephones, lamps, clocks, tables, and other artifacts from eras past into quirky everyday objects. The design duo is particularly interested in working with objects that have been rendered “useless” due to the passage of time. Their goal is to make the public aware of the importance of reuse, to help save on buying new things and also eliminate the costly process of recycling.
