Originally from Calabria, Longo is also an accomplished photographer and designer, and often includes his photos in his exhibitions. But it's his adeptness at creating dynamic wooden sculptures that showcase his most artistic side.

Longo says that he finds most of his driftwood on the shores of his native region, Calabria, which he refers to as the "matrix of my artistic identity". When creating the sculptures, the artist purposely leaves the scratches and marks on the wood, giving the formations a distinct vulnerability. “The wood is a sincere material that does not deny its own past and its own history,” says Longo.
Fragile Landscapes was recently on display at the Museo delle Arti Catanzaro in Catanzaro, Italy. His previous works have been on display all over the world, including Genoa, Lecce, Milan, New York and London.
